Residential Treatment And Campus
We strive to provide the latest approaches through psychiatric treatment, psychological treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy , dialectical behavioral therapy at our residential treatment programs.
Residential treatment enables the person to live at a center where treatment, care, and supervision are available 24 hours a day, for varying lengths of time as needed. The Spokane Valley campus provides housing and residential psychiatric treatment for both men and women. The amount of time a person resides at Sunshine Terrace is dependent on a person’s needs and the program they are enrolled in.
Accommodations include shared suites and private rooms, a large activity room, a well-stocked library, a beautiful atrium, and day-rooms for activities and recreation. All of these areas are to offer the freedom and comfort of an at-home lifestyle.

Common Symptoms Of Depression
Depression does not show up the same in everyone, but you may recognize one or more of the following common symptoms.

Exhaustion – No matter how much sleep you get you dont feel rested.
Irritability – Even the smallest things set you off
General sense of sadness – Feeling tearful or like nothing is as enjoyable as it used to be. You might have a sense of hopelessness
Trouble sleeping/ sleeping too much – Your mind is racing and you cant sleep, or you are sleeping more than normal and still feel unrested.
Trouble concentrating – You feel like your head is in the clouds, its hard to focus and you are forgetting things that you used to remember
Self-isolation – Aside from our current state of the pandemic, you are choosing to be alone and the thought of being around other people is overwhelming.
Feelings of guilt or shame – you cant stop thinking about mistakes and might go down the rabbit hole of negative thoughts when a mistake is made
Self-harm / thoughts of suicide – It feels like the only way to stop the pain and sadness is to hurt yourself or end your life
